Peterborough Petes News Release

(Peterborough, ON) - On Saturday, February 27, the Petes will honour members of the 1996 OHL Championship team in a special pre-game ceremony. Fans are encouraged to come early to the 7:05pm game to help honour the championship team, with notable attendees including Memorial Cup MVP Cameron Mann, captain Adrian Murray, and several others.

The game against the Sudbury Wolves will be a special tribute to the 1996 Petes as most of the players from that team gather for the twentieth anniversary of the championship season and the only time the Memorial Cup championship was held at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

The Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame will have a special 1996 Memorial Cup and OHL Championship exhibit on display during the games on Thursday, February 25 against the London Knights and during the 1996 reunion game on Saturday, February 27 against Sudbury.

Tickets are still available for both games by visiting the PMC Collins Barrow Box Office online, in person, or by phoning (705) 743-3561. Minor hockey families also have the opportunity to purchase the $19.96 minor hockey special (one adult and one child ticket for $19.96) by calling Matt at (705) 743-3681.
