MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Mobile BayBears (47-38/7-8) spoiled a Biscuits (45-38/9-6) comeback with two runs in the ninth inning to defeat Montgomery 6-5 and even the series Thursday night at Riverwalk.

With runners on second and third and the Biscuits leading by one in the ninth, Mobile's Wladimir Sutil hit a come-backer off of Adam Liberatore's (3-4) leg to tie the game at five. After Evan Frey was hit by a pitch, Chris Owings chopped an infield single to plate the go-ahead run. In the bottom of the ninth, Evan Marshall (4-1) got Ryan Garko to fly out to second with Omar Luna at third base to end the game.

The Biscuits trailed 3-1 after five innings. After Garko scored from a throwing error, Michael Sheridan tied the game at three with a single. Mark Thomas added an RBI-double to give the Biscuits their first lead of the night, 4-3. Hak-Ju Lee tacked on one more run with an RBI-single. The base-hit extended Lee's hitting-streak to 16 games which is tied for the longest this year in the Southern League.

Nick Barnese went 4.2 innings allowing three runs on five hits in his third start of the year for the Biscuits. Liberatore allowed the final two runs in the ninth inning for the loss. The Biscuits have blown 16 saves this season. Evan Marshall pitched the final two scoreless innings of the game for win.

RHP Alex Colome will start in the series finale for Montgomery. RHP Gaby Hernandez will counter for Mobile. First pitch is slated for 7:05 Friday night.
