July 5, 2012 - Southern League (SL1)
Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release
The Blue Wahoos celebrated their 200,000th fan through the gates of Pensacola Bayfront Stadium tonight as part of the 28th sellout of the season. The Wahoos are the first team in the Southern League to hit the 200K mark this season. Chris Bridges was greeted at the top of the main entrance as the 200,000th fan to attend a Blue Wahoos game during the inaugural season. Bridges was attending the game with his family and was the recipient of a Blue Wahoos prize pack including hats, programs and tickets to a future Blue Wahoos game. On the field, the Wahoos fell to the Birmingham Barons 6-2, but maintained their spot in a tie for first in the Southern League South with Montgomery losing tonight to Mobile. The Wahoos look to win their sixth straight series on Friday night. Plus, it's another Fan Appreciation Friday, and the first 2,000 fans will receive a Blue Wahoos umbrella courtesy of Fisher Brown Bottrell Insurance.
