15 Hit Attack by Delmarva, Braves Lose 9-4

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves (13-21) fell to the Delmarva Shorebirds (17-17) on Thursday night by a score of 9-4.

Delmarva got on the board in the second on a run scoring ground out from Anthony Vega and an RBI single by Anthony Caronia for the 2-0 lead. The Shorebirds added to their lead in the sixth on a pair of RBI singles by Vega and Caronia to make the score 4-0. Rome cut the lead in half in the seventh when Victor Caratini reached base on a double. Ross Wilson plated Caratini on a triple but also scored when on a throwing error making it a 4-2 game. A single from Johan Camargo and an RBI sacrifice fly by Wilson in the eighth inning would tie the game 4-4.

The Shorebirds took the lead for good in the ninth on an RBI single by Creede Simpson, a bases loaded walk that plated Jared Breen, a two run single by Vega, and another RBI single by Caronia for the 9-4 final.

Dylan Rheault (8-2) picks up the win while Pete Perez (0-3) is charged with the loss. Steve Janas pitched well recording 10 strike outs over 5.2 innings of work as Rome's starter.
