
14th Annual Genesis Jersey Auction Raises Over $30,000

The Quad City Flames today announced the results of the team's 14th Annual Genesis Jersey Auction. A total of 26 jerseys were auctioned and raffled for a total of $30,055. Over the 14 year history of the event, Quad City hockey teams have raised $590,254 for area charities. Proceeds from this year's auction will benefit Genesis' Take A Shot 4 The Team Campaign to provide flu shots for kids in area schools.
The 2009 Jersey Auction featured a St. Patrick's Day theme. Highlights of the jersey auction talent show included a fitness routine featuring Brett Sutter and Gord Baldwin and a shootout routine with Brad Brown, Leland Irving and Matt Keetley. The shootout routine captured most popular skit honors amongst the fans in attendance.
The highest bid was fetched by Anders Eriksson's jersey, which was purchased for $2,100. The jerseys of Kyle Greentree, David Van der Gulik, Brett Sutter and Peter Vandermeer also topped the $1,500 plateau. A complete list of jerseys and bids is listed below:

The Flames visit Peoria on Sunday for a showdown with the Rivermen. Game time is 3:00 p.m. The Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show begins on 93.9 FM WYEC at 2:35 p.m. Fans can watch the game for just $6.00 at ahllive.com.
The Flames are home on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. for a game vs. the Hamilton Bulldogs. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive Carsen Germyn bobbleheads. After the game, fans can turn in their ticket stub for a half-price appetizer at Twenty Sports Grille and Nightclub in downtown Moline.
