Baltimore Blast: 3-2.
Second place in the Eastern Division. Mississauga Metrostars: 2-3
Third place in the Eastern Division. Baltimore Players to Watch: The Blast are looking to bounce back from their weekend loss to Utica City with a win versus Mississauga. Midfielder Jonatas Melo currently leads all Blast players in assists (6) and points scored (11), which ranks fourth and sixth in the league respectively. Forwards Andrew Hoxie and Juan Pereira will lead the Blast attack with four goals each.
Defender Adriano Dos Santos is off to a hot start, scoring four goals, which is tied for 1st on the team. Two Time Team of the Week selection William Vanzela ranks 4th among all MASL goalkeepers in goals allowed average (4.03), save percentage (.747) and will look to stifle the Metrostars attack.
The Blast will be without Lucas Roque and Daniel Peruzzi as they recover from their knee injuries. The Blast are coached by Head Coach Danny Kelly and Assistant Coach David Bascome.
The Competition - Mississauga Metrostars
Mississauga are looking to get to .500 as they take on division rivals Baltimore Blast. The Utica City offense is led by forward Dwayne De Rosario who ranks 6th in the MASL in points scored (11) and 4th in the MASL in assists (6). Forward Molham Babouli leads the Metrostars in goals scored with six and midfielder Martinho Dumevski ranks 2nd on the team in assists with four.
Defender Josip Keran and midfielder Joshua Paredes provide a stern test for any offense with four blocked shots each. Midfielder Marco Rodriguez ranks 2nd on the team in points per game average with 1.8 despite only playing four games.
