Everett Silvertips News Release
Everett, WA - September 21st, 2005: The Everett Silvertips and Stocker Farms in Snohomish have teamed up to provide a special corn maze featuring the Everett Silvertips. Every year Stocker Farms finds a way to entertain the community and help the local food bank. By working together they will be collecting cash and canned food items to benefit the Snohomish Food Bank.
The fun doesn't stop with getting lost or found in this10-acre maze. Mazers can play either of two games to help them find the easiest way through the miles of trail. "Bear Facts" quiz signs ask simple trivia questions that lead mazers to the solution. "The Puck Stops Here "is a way for participants to build their perfect Hockey Team. Either way you can enter to win free tickets to an upcoming Silvertips game.
For the brave of heart there will be the famous "Field of Screams" haunted corn maze on Friday and Saturday nights starting October 7 as well as on Sunday and Monday nights the 30th and 31st. You can bring a canned food item to receive a $1.00 discount on regular admission.
Stocker Farms will also be renting pedometers for $1.00. You can measure how far you walk through the maze, and your $1.00 rental fee will go directly to the Snohomish Food Bank.
"It is unique and different way of getting the Silvertips name into the community," mentions Silvertips Director of Business Operations, Zoran Rajcic. "It is great to partner with Stocker Farms with this unique project and help the Snohomish County Food Bank."
