Kamloops Blazers News Release
KAMLOOPS, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have completed a trade with the Medicine Hat Tigers which sees the Blazers acquire 17-year-old forward Scott Skrudland (SKROOD-luhnd) in exchange for a 5th round pick in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft.
Skrudland, a 6-foot-5, 180-pound left-winger, spent last season with the Winnipeg Midget "AAA" Thrashers where he scored 9 goals and 18 points, along with 98 penalty minutes, in 39 games. Scott is a nephew of long-time NHLer Brian Skrudland.
In another move, the Blazers reassigned 17-year-old defenseman Josh Kaliel to the St. Albert Midget "AAA" Raiders.

Dubnyk remains at Edmonton Oiler camp after making his NHL debut last night in Dallas.
The Blazers open the regular season on Saturday night at Interior Savings Centre against the Everett Silvertips. Game time is 7:00.
