Comets Fall Short against Rochester on Valentine's Day, Lose 4-1

February 14, 2026 - Utica, NY - The Comets hosted the Amerks for the final time this season and fell by a score of 4-1. The Comets were gifted an early power play just 16 seconds into the contest when Amerks' defenseman Vsevelod Komarov was called for a delay of game penalty but were unable to capitalize. The Comets went back to the power play a few minutes later, but the Amerks held them at bay again. February 7, 2026 - Utica, NY - The Comets hosted the Amerks on Star Wars Night and were defeated by a score of 5-1. The Comets applied the pressure early on, forcing the Amerks into a delay of game penalty when Isaac Belliveau cleared the puck over the glass, but the Comets came up empty on their first power play of the game. February 6, 2026 - Utica, NY - The Comets hosted the Bridgeport Islanders on Friday for the second and final time this season and came away with a 2-1 shootout win. It was the first meeting between the two teams in nearly a month, and the first period featured a stingy effort from both sides, with neither yielding many high-danger scoring chances. February 4, 2026 - Laval, QC - The Comets headed north for their third game in Laval this season and lost by a score of 6-2. The Rocket jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Marc Del Gaizo set up Laurent Dauphin at the top of the crease who buried his own rebound, beating Jakub Malek at the 3:50 mark of the first for his 14th goal of the year and league-leading 50th point of the season.
