February 4, 2017 - NBA G League (G League)
Westchester Knicks News Release

WHITE PLAINS, NY- The Westchester Knicks (13-16), the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, lost a heartbreaker in overtime tonight at the Westchester County Center. Visiting for the first time, the Windy City Bulls (11-16), the Chicago Bulls' affiliate, outlasted the Knicks 102-98.

Von Wafer paced the Knicks from the bench for the second game in a row, finishing with 21 points and four rebounds.

Doron Lamb also contributed from the pine, putting up 13 points. From the starters, the Knicks gained 18 points with seven rebounds from Damien Inglis, while New York Knicks' assignee Maurice Ndour notched a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Windy City's Denzel Valentine was just one assist short of a triple-double as he finished his night with 34 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. All five starters for the Bulls tallied double-digits; Tim Quarterman joining Valentine in the double-double club with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Jake Layman supplied 19 points with five rebounds and three steals, Alec Brown put in 11 points and three rebounds, and Alfonzo McKinnie chipped in 10 points and five rebounds.

The Bulls jumped out to an early lead as Westchester was slow to wake up. Stagnant in single-digits through the first eight minutes, the Knicks began to heat up in the second quarter. Holding Windy City to just 16 points in the second, Westchester held a 54-46 advantage at the half.

The Knicks kept a double-digit advantage for the majority of the second half until Windy City took off on a 12-2 run midway through the fourth to tie it up. Though Westchester never gave up the lead, Bulls forward Alfonzo McKinnie made a last-second play - a powerful alley-oop dunk - to tie it up with 3.8 seconds left.

In both teams' first overtime game of the season, Windy City took a quick five points in the first two extra minutes. Though Knicks forward Von Wafer hit a lengthy three-pointer with 20.3 seconds left, Westchester was unable to complete the comeback, falling 102-98.
