BINGHAMTON, NY - Missed opportunities at the plate, as well as a potent Binghamton offense, handed the Thunder a 10-1 loss to the Rumble Ponies on Monday night at NYSEG Stadium.

The Thunder (42-33) left seven runners stranded and went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position, and Binghamton (36-38) starter Scott Copeland matched a career-high with nine strikeouts while holding Trenton scoreless over his seven innings of work.

Trevor Stephan was charged with six runs on eight hits over just three innings, laboring for 68 pitches. Relievers Brody Koerner and Kaleb Ort were touched for two runs each, and the total of 14 hits allowed by the Thunder matched a season-high.

Levi Michael led off the bottom of the first with a towering home run to left field, and John Mora followed with a single and later scored from third on a wild pitch for a 2-0 Rumble Ponies lead.

Binghamton rallied for four runs in the third, highlighted by a bases-loaded, three-run double by Tim Tebow in Stephan's final inning of work. Mora launched a two-run homer off Koerner in the sixth, and Ort yielded an RBI-single to Michael and a bases-loaded walk to Mora.

Abiatal Avelino and Jorge Saez led the Thunder with two hits each, while a Billy Fleming solo home run to left field off reliever Ryder Ryan in the ninth accounted for the team's only run.

The loss was Trenton's fourth in five games.
