RHP Enderson Franco Promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett

PEARL, MS - On Saturday, May 26 the Atlanta Braves promoted Mississippi Braves RHP Enderson Franco to the Gwinnett Stripers (Triple-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves). In a corresponding move, Gwinnett Stripers LHP Michael Mader was transferred to the Mississippi Braves (Double-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves).

Franco, 25, appeared in 11 total games, earning seven starts with Double-A Mississippi in 2018. The right-hander will exit Pearl and head to Gwinnett after posting a 1-4 record and a 4.61 ERA. In 41.0 IP, Franco allowed 43 H, 27 R, 21 ER, 4 HR, issued 22 BB and struck out 46. The Anaco, Venezuela native was selected by the Atlanta Braves from the Miami Marlins in the minor league phase of the 2015 Rule 5 Draft on December 10, 2015.

Mader, 24, will return to Double-A Mississippi after a brief stint with Triple-A Gwinnett where he posted a 1-0 record and a 1.50 ERA. Mader appeared in one game with the Stripers this season. The southpaw's lone appearance with the Stripers occurred on May 24 against the Durham Bulls (Triple-A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays). Mader started the game and earned the win after allowing just one run, which was earned, 3 H and striking out three in 6.0 IP. The Houston, Texas native was acquired by the Atlanta Braves along with INF Anfernee Seymour from the Miami Marlins in exchange for LHP Hunter Cervenka on August 6, 2016.

The Mississippi Braves active roster currently stands at 24 players and 6 players remain on the Disabled List.
