Regina, SK - The Prince Albert Raiders (13-17-6-2) took a point away from Regina in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Pats (19-18-3-0) on Monday at the Brandt Centre.

Matt Bradley ended the game with 1:41 remaining in the extra period, beating Raiders goaltender Curtis Meger on an odd-man rush. Brayden Pachal led the way for the Raiders offensively with a goal and two assists.

Although Brayden Pachal and Zack Hayes had early chances that just missed the goal, the Pats opened the scoring 7:41 into the first. Bradley forced a turnover on a Raiders' power play and started an odd-man rush. He centred the pass for Dawson Davidson, who tapped it through Meger for the lead.

The Raiders responded in the second. Pachal's slap shot from the point got through traffic and Tyler Brown to tie the game at the 7:27 mark. Six minutes later, Cole Fonstad finished off a beautiful passing play from Jordy Stallard and Curtis Mike to make it a 2-1 game. With 3:06 remaining in the second, Parker Kelly kept the puck on a two-on-one and snapped it past Brown's glove hand to put the Raiders ahead 3-1 after two periods.

A three-minute span in the third period may have cost the Raiders the full two points. Josh Mahura broke through the Raiders' defence and snapped it past Meger to bring Regina back within one 4:46 into the period. Nick Henry and Jake Leschyshyn then scored 10 seconds apart at the 7:14 and 7:24 marks respectively to put the Pats ahead 4-3.

Late in the third, the Raiders tied the game on the power play. Stallard's wrister from the slot fooled Brown and got through the goaltender's five hole.

That set the stage for overtime. On an attack into the Pats' end, Miske and Stallard were both upended by Regina players. The Pats launched a counter attack, which led to Bradley potting the overtime winner.

Meger made 34 saves in the loss for the Raiders. Brown picked up the win with a 27-save performance.

The Raiders are back at the Art Hauser Centre for a pair of games this weekend, beginning on Friday night against the Kootenay ICE for the Sock Hop. Fans are asked to bring pairs of new socks to be thrown on the ice in the second intermission. Everyone who throws the socks onto the ice will be entered into a draw for a new TV.

On Saturday, the Raiders square off against the Red Deer Rebels for the first time this season.
