Peoria Chiefs Rained out Thursday

Peoria, IL - The First Half Western Division Wild Card Champion Peoria Chiefs and Burlington Bees were rained out on Thursday night at Dozer Park, postponing the second half opener. The teams will attempt to play a double header on Friday at 6:00 p.m. with both games scheduled for seven innings. Fans with tickets for Thursday's game can redeem them at the Dozer Park office for any regular season Chiefs game in 2018 except July 4. Social Media Night, which was scheduled for Thursday will be made up at a later date. Friday's double header is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. and game two will feature Chiefs players wearing Han Solo themed jerseys as part of Star Wars Night. The 501st Midwest Garrison will also have characters on hand for game two and there will be fireworks after the second game of the double header. The Chiefs are scheduled to start RH Johan Oviedo (2-6, 5.82) in game one and RH Zach Prendergast (5-2, 2.37) in game two. The Bees are scheduled to start LHP Max Hermann (1-2, 4.17) in game one and RH Mitchell Traver (5-4, 3.28) in game two.
