Kings Recall Cliche, Clune

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forwards Richard Clune and Marc-Andre Cliche from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Clune, 22, has played in two games with the Kings this season, recording two points (both assists) and seven penalty minutes. He has also played in 44 games with the Monarchs and has 14 points (4-1014) and a team-leading 126 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-10, 198-pounder is a native of Toronto.

Cliche, 22, has played in 50 games with the Monarchs this season, recording 21 points (10-1121) and 30 penalty minutes with the 21 points rank tied for fifth and the 11 goals placing third. The 6-foot, 198-pounder is a native of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. He has not played in the NHL and will wear No. 67.

The Monarchs return to action on Wednesday, February 24 as they take on the Springfield Falcons in a 7:00 p.m. contest at the Verizon Wireless Arena.
