Hitmen Prospect Tristen Nielsen to Play at 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club would like to congratulate 2015 first-round pick Tristen Nielsen on being named to Team Canada for the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games. The games will be held February 12-21 in Lillehammer, Norway, with Nielsen and Team Canada to compete in ice hockey.
Nielsen, from Fort St. John, B.C., signed a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement with the Hitmen in June of 2015 after being selected 20th overall in the WHL Bantam Draft the previous month.
The 5-10, 168-pound, centre is currently playing with Calgary-based Edge School (CSSHL) in the Midget Prep Division. The 15-year-old also helped Team Alberta win a gold medal in early November at the 2015 Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup.
