OPPONENT

TEXAS LEGENDS FacebookLive Radio: KSOO 1140-AM

Series Notes: Saturday's matchup between the Sioux Falls Skyforce (20-11) and the Texas Legends (13-15) will mark the third of four meetings this season between the two teams. Previously, the Skyforce defeated the Legends in a back-to-back set on Friday, January 6 and again on Saturday, January 7. Sioux Falls won both games handily, scoring a season-high 148 points in their first matchup, and following that up with a 130-point outing on the second night of their back-to-back. However, the Legends are coming off of an impressive win against the division-leading Oklahoma City Blue in which they were led by a trifecta of backcourt scorers in Ben Gordon (25 points), Manny Harris (22 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists), and Andre Dawkins (25 points, 7-9 3FG). Dawkins holds the record for most three-point field goals made in a single game in Skyforce history, making 12 in a game that ironically came while playing against the Texas Legends on 12/20/14. The Skyforce will be without Briante Weber, the league's number one prospect, but a surging Patrick Miller and a newly returned Bubu Palo will look to slow down the Legends' offensive attack, while the Force lean heavily on Keith Benson, who has been arguably the most consistent big man in the league this season. Benson averages a team-high 21.0 points to go along with 10.6 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. Henry Walker has been hot off the bench recently for the Force, scoring over 20 points in his last three consecutive contests, making seven three-point field goals in each game.

2016-17 SIOUX FALLS SKYFORCE GAME NOTES PAGE 5

ï‚-

The Skyforce won 20 straight regular season games on their home floor spanning from February 19, 2016 to January 13, 2017. In doing so, they share the NBA Development League Record for longest home winning streak during the regular season with the Idaho Stampede, who won 20- straight spanning the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons. ï‚-

The Skyforce average the fourth-most points scored per game with 114.5. The Skyforce are 5-2 against the three teams that average more points scored per game than they do this season (Los Angeles, Rio Grande Valley, and Texas) with a chance to improve on that record tonight at Texas. ï‚-

The Skyforce are second in the D-League in turnovers forced per game, averaging 19.4 on the year. They're also tied for first in the league in steals per game with an average of 10.6 per contest. ï‚-

The Skyforce are fourth in the league in blocked shots per game, averaging 6.1 blocks per matchup. ï‚-

Rebounding makes a difference. The Skyforce rank fifth in the league in rebounds per game, but have only outrebounded their opponents 16 times in their first 31 games of the season. The Skyforce are 15-1 in games they've outrebounded opponents, and only 5-10 in games in which they have not. ï‚-

The Skyforce has the fourth-best defensive rating in the league so far this season at 101.0. ï‚-

The Skyforce rank first in the league for fastest pace at which they play (107.38). Pace is calculated by the number of possessions a team averages per 48 minutes of play. ï‚-

Since entering a hybrid affiliation with the Miami HEAT in 2013, the Skyforce have an overall regular season record of 120-60 (propelled by a record-breaking 40-10 season in 2015-16), good enough for the best record in the NBA D-League in that span.

ï‚-

Keith Benson: Has a double-double in 18 out of 31 games played this season for the Skyforce, good enough for first place in the D-League.

Benson tallied a career-high 33 points to go along with 17 rebounds in a loss to the Salt Lake City Stars on 12/30/16 and has scored 10-or-more points 17 times so far this season. Benson was named NBA D-League Player of the Month for the month of December, and was named NBA D- League Performer of the Week for games played between Monday, December 4 and Sunday, December 11. ï‚-

Briante Weber: Briante Weber was recently named NBA D-League Player of the Month for games played in January. Weber finished one steal shy of recording the league's first ever quadruple-double, finishing with 18 points, 12 assists, 11 rebounds and nine steals in the loss to the Oklahoma City Blue on Tuesday, January 31. Weber scored a career-high 34 points on 1/25 in a loss to the Reno Bighorns, just one game after scoring 28 points against the Los Angeles D-Fenders at the D-league Showcase on Saturday, January 21. ï‚-

Okaro White: Was the first call up of the 2016-17 season for the Skyforce, being signed by the Miami HEAT to a 10-day contract on January 17, 2017. White was averaging 18.4 points and 8.7 rebounds through 23 games played this season for the Skyforce, and had the highest point-total of any Skyforce player in the last two seasons combined with a 36-point outing against the Los Angeles D-Fenders on December 28, 2016. White was re-signed to a second 10-day contract by the Miami HEAT on Friday, January 27. ï‚-

Patrick Miller: Has started the last seven games for the Skyforce and has averaged 24.6 points per game in that span. In his first 14 games in a Skyforce uniform, Miller was averaging 7.1 points per game. In his last 10 games, Miller has scored 20 or more points on eight different occasions which has boosted his season scoring average to 13.7 points per contest. Miller set a new career-high in scoring three times within a four-game span, scoring 29 points against Reno on January 19, 30 points against Los Angeles on January 21, and 32 points at Los Angeles again on January 26. ï‚-

Henry Walker: After coming back from a knee injury, Walker has scored 15 or more points in his last four contests, including three consecutive 20+ point outings in which he has made at least seven three-point field goals each game, setting a new career-high, then matching it in each of his next two games.
