Bighorns Trade for Christian Watford

RENO, NEV., Mar. 04, 2015- The Reno Bighorns completed a trade today with the Maine Red Claws, with the Bighorns acquiring Christian Watford in exchange for the returning player rights to DeQuan Jones. The trade is pending the successful completion of a physical.

Watford (6'9", 232lbs), has played 27 games (26 starts) with the Red Claws. During Watford's time the Red Claws, he averaged 12.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.

Watford joined the Detroit Pistons during 2014-15 Summer League, where he averaged 8.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.

Tonight, the Bighorns host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 7 p.m. before facing the Texas Legends at the Reno Events Center Friday, Mar. 6 at 7 p.m.
