December 11, 2014 - NBA G League (G League)
Bakersfield Jam News Release

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF., December 11, 2014 - Earl Barron recorded a game-high 43 points (18-of-28 FGs) and 12 rebounds, but the visiting Bakersfield Jam (6-5) fell to the Canton Charge (6-4) 98-95 on Thursday night.

Despite the Jam starting the game shooting just 38.5 percent from the field, compared to 62.5 for the Charge, both teams were tied at 25-all after the first quarter. Efficient shooting from behind the arc in the second quarter (4-of-7 3FGs) helped Canton jump in front at the break (54-47).

The second half started with a dominating performance by Barron as he scored 17 of his 43 points in the third, and helped Bakersfield outscore Canton 30-23 in the quarter. Heading to the final frame all tied at 77, the Jam struggled to get an offensive rhythm going and shot just 25 percent (6/24 FGs) from the floor. Despite the poor shooting in the fourth, Bakersfield had a chance to tie the game and send it to overtime, but time expired before they were able to get a shot up.

Casey Prather tallied 19 points and four rebounds off the bench for the Jam, while Mac Koshwal recorded his fifth double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Antoine Agudio led the Charge with 23 points and five rebounds. Brandon Paul contributed 16 points as a reserve, while Cleveland Cavaliers assignee Alex Kirk posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Bakersfield will head to Westchester, NY for their next game on Saturday, December 13 when they take on the Knicks at 4:00 p.m. PT.
