Today's Game

This afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons face the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRaiders in the second game of a four-game series from PNC Field (1:05 p.m.). The Herd won the series opener, 10-4, last night. This eight-game roadtrip for the Bisons also includes a four-game stop in Pawtucket, June 13-16.

vs. RailRiders

The Bisons are 2-1 against the RailRiders this season. The clubs split a doubleheader on April 14 in Buffalo -the only day of a four-game series that wasn't rained out. The teams will play twinbills back in Buffalo on July 13 and August 8.

Today's Starters

RHP DAVE BUSH will make his 11th start of the season today. Bush leads the Bisons with six wins, the first of which came on April 14 with a victory over the RailRiders. In that game, he allowed just an unearned run in five innings of work. Bush is 4-1 in six starts on the road this season.

Road Warriors

The Bisons are 19-12 on the road this season, tied with Pawtucket for the best road records in the International League. Included in that record for Buffalo is a 12-3 record in road divisional games. The Herd has four-game sweeps in Syracuse and Lehigh Valley this season.

Return of the Mack

INF MIKE McCOY hit a Bisons' season-high three doubles in yesterday's win. The veteran has hit in four straight games, averaging .538 (7-13) with five runs scored and two RBI since June 4. McCoy has also drawn a walk in 14 of his last 17 games (18 total walks).

In the Nick of Time

C MIKE NICKEAS has hit four doubles in his last five games. Since May 31, the backstop has averaged .316 (6-18) with five RBI and three runs scored.

Luis Jimenez

INF LUIS JIMENEZ added his 53rd RBI on the season last night to stay ahead of Durham's Wil Myers (52) for the league lead. Jimenez is also 4th in the IL in average (.340) and slugging pct. (.590). He has driven in a run in seven of his last nine games.

Bisons Bits

INF JIM NEGRYCH leads the IL with his .354 batting average...OF ANTHONY GOSE has hit in five straight (.278, 5-18)...RHP JOHN STILSON earned his first Triple-A win Friday and has now allowed just three hits in 9.1 innings of work over six appearances.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (27-34) were victorious in 18 innings yesterday with a 4-3 win over the Rangers. Former Bisons RHP BRAD LINCOLN pitched in four shutout relief innings before OF RAJAI DAVIS'S walk-off RBI-single. The Blue Jays look for the three-game sweep this afternoon at 1:07 p.m.
