*Bailey, Irgens Earn Top Spots in Run Forrest Run 5K*
*10**th **Annual Bubba Gump Shrimp Run Forrest Run 5K Held at Riley Park*
CHARLESTON, SC - Chris Bailey and Katherine Irgens captured the top spots in the male and female divisions in the 10th annual RiverDogs' Run Forrest Run 5K at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on Saturday.
Bailey's time of 15:14 led all the male competitors and Irgens finished up with a time of 17:35. Also honored after the race were Winston Holliday, whose time of 18:04 won him the award of Top Master Male, and Merridee Hatton, who won that spot among females, finishing at 21:31.
The event included 712 participants and the finishers were hailed at home plate by RiverDogs and Drive coaches and players.
The race was sponsored not only by Bubba Gump Shrimp and Fleet Feet Sports but also by Charleston Chiropractic and Therapy, Foot Store, 103.5 WEZL, The Extra Mile, 94.3 WSC, Try Sports, Y 102.5, Q 104.5, Delta Pharmacy, Don't Sweat It, Crossfit Mt. Pleasant, and Healthy Delights. Proceeds will go to Boston Strong to help aid those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings and to the MUSC Storm Eye Institute. **
