WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky. - Ben Hughes allowed one run and three hits in seven innings as the Asheville Tourists took the final game of a three-game series with the Lexington Legends 3-1 Wednesday at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The loss ended the Legends winning streak at four games.

The Legends scored their only run in the first inning on a walk to Bubba Starling and a double by Fred Ford.

Asheville took the lead with two runs in the top of the third. Dillon Thomas led off with a walk. Matt Argyropoulos hit a potential double-play grounder, but shortstop Humberto Arteaga's throw to first was wide for an error, allowing Argyropoulos to reach second. Juan Ciriaco was called out on strikes, but Matt Wessinger doubled, scoring Argyropoulos, and Rosell Herrera's single brought Wessinger home.

The Tourists added their final run in the seventh on a double by Argyropoulos, a ground out and a suicide squeeze bunt by Wessinger.

Hughes (4-4) worked the first seven innings. He walked one and struck out two.

Colin Rodgers (3-2), who pitched the first four innings for Lexington, was the losing pitcher.
