Rome, GA - The Rome Braves and Augusta Greenjackets concluded a three game series this afternoon at State Mutual Stadium with a crowd of 1,509 fans in attendance. The Greenjackets won the game 12-6.

Augusta started the game with a lead off homer by Andrew Cain (1). They struck again in the third inning when Cain received a lead off walk, stole second and later scored off of a double by Shayne Houck. The inning continued when Joe Rapp singled scoring Houck and Trevor Brown hit a sacrifice fly allowing Matt Duffy to cross the plate for a score of 4-0. Augusta added one in the fourth inning making it a 5-0 game.

The Braves scored their first runs in the fourth inning when Ronald Luna hit a lead off single and later scored thanks to an RBI by Tyler Tewell. Casey Kalenkosky also scored in the fourth after hitting a double and scoring off of a single by Joey Meneses to make the score 5-2. Levi Hyams (1) hit his first homerun of the season in the fifth and the Braves added one more run in the sixth when Joey Meneses scored thanks to a sacrifice fly from Felix Marte for a score of 6-4. That is as close as the Braves would get as Augusta scored two runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings for the 12-6 final. The Greenjackets pounded 16 hits and the Braves 10 on the afternoon.

Augusta's RHP Kendry Flores (3-2) was awarded his third win of the season while Rome's Wes Parsons (0-1) was tagged with his first loss in his professional debut.
