First of three meetings with Toronto FC

The Revs host Toronto FC Saturday in the first of three regular-season meetings between the two clubs this season ... the Revs lead the all time series against Toronto with a record of 4-3-6, with all four wins coming at Gillette Stadium ... Toronto won the season series last season, posting a 1-0-1 record ... the Reds' win - 1-0 on July 14, 2012 - was the team's first-ever in Foxborough ... the two clubs meet again at Gillette Stadium on Aug. 4, followed by the series finale on Aug. 30 in Toronto.

Back-to-back for Fagundez

Diego Fagundez scored his team-leading third goal of the season in the team's 2-0 win over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday ... the 18-year-old Homegrown player's three goal are a new single-season high for the third-year pro ... after also scoring against New York on May 11, Saturday's goal against the Dynamo marked the first time the forward has scored in back-to-back games in his career.

First appearance for Agudelo

Recently-acquired forward Juan Agudelo made his Revs debut on Saturday when he played 55 minutes in the 2-0 win over the Houston Dynamo ... Agudelo replaced Ryan Guy in the 35th minute for his first ever appearance as a member of the Revs ... late in the second half with the Revs leading 1-0, Agudelo played an instrumental part in the Revs' second goal of the night ... he received Chris Tierney's deflected pass back-to-goal, and launched a shot which kicked off Ricardo Clark and in to the goal ... Saturday's appearance was his first since April 13, when he left the game with a hamstring injury while with Chivas USA.

Shutouts becoming standard for Shuttleworth

Bobby Shuttleworth recorded his career-high fourth shutout of the season last Saturday in a 2-0 victory at Houston ... Saturday was the goalkeeper's first shutout against the Dynamo... Shuttleworth now has eight for his career, and he is tied for third in the Revs' career record book (with Walter Zenga) ... he is also tied for second (with six other goalkeepers) in MLS behind Sporting Kansas City's Jimmy Nielsen (7) ... Shuttleworth's four shutouts have come in nine appearances.

Team defense starts in the back

The Revolution's defense is ranked second in MLS, boasting an 0.82 goals per game average ... with six shutouts in 11 games and only nine goals allowed (tied for the fewest in MLS), the Revs defense has anchored the team this year... between goalkeepers Bobby Shuttleworth (four shutouts) and Matt Reis (two shutouts) and the addition of Portuguese center back Jose Goncalves, the Revs have lowered their team goals against average from 1.29 last year to by more than 36 percent (0.36 goals per game).

Extending late leads

The Revs have been victims of surrendering second-half leads twice in the last two weeks, but reversed that trend on Saturday ... the club fell to Real Salt Lake on May 8 after leading 1-0 into the 77th minute before falling 2-1 ... three days later, the New York Red Bulls pulled even just one minute after Diego Fagundez gave his team the lead in the 54th minute ... Saturday in Houston, however, the Revs extended their 1-0 lead late in the second half to secure the three points on the road.

Tierney one start away from 100

Should he return to the starting lineup against Toronto FC on Saturday, Chris Tierney will make his 100th career start in MLS ... all of his starts and appearances (110) have come as a member of the Revs ... Tierney would become just the 12th player in club history to make at least 100 starts.

THIS WEEK IN ROCHESTER

The Rhinos relieved head coach Jess Myers following the club's 1-6-1 start ... Pat Ercoli, the club's president and general manager - and former head coach, has assumed head coaching responsibilities for the rest of the season

The Revs currently have four players on loan to the Rochester Rhinos as part of the teams' affiliation agreement: defender Bilal Duckett, midfielder Gabe Latigue, forward Matt Horth and defender Tyler Polak.
