DAY BASEBALL AT HADLOCK : The Sea Dogs and Binghamton Mets continue their three-game series on Saturday afternoon at Hadlock Field...Binghamton has won five straight and trails the Sea Dogs by one game for the top spot in the Eastern Division...Portland has the second best record in the Eastern League, but has dropped five of their last seven games...Right-hander Anthony Ranaudo, who ranks second in the league in ERA (1.38), makes his eighth start of the season.

LITTLE SLOPPY : The Binghamton Mets scored three times in the ninth, aided by three Portland errors, en route to a 6-3 win in the series opener on Friday night...3B Michael Almanzar tied the game at three with a two-run homer in the sixth, but committed two errors in the ninth...SS Xander Bogaerts made a throwing error on an infield-single, enabling the game's final run to score...John Church (2-3) worked two scoreless frames to earn the win...Keith Couch (1-1) suffered the loss, allowing three runs (one earned) over 2.1 IP...Jeff Walters fanned three in the ninth to earn his 11th save of the season.
