----- Tonight, the SeaWolves look to push their record back to a season-high 11-games above .500 as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the opening game of a three-game series at Canal Park. On Wednesday, the SeaWolves and Fightin Phils split a doubleheader at Jerry Uht Park. Erie had an opportunity in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded and no outs but could not cash in as they had their seven-game home winning streak snapped. Victor Larez makes his eighth start of the season and his second against the Aeros. Larez beat Akron on 5/6 allowing three runs on seven hits with no walks and six strikeouts in five innings of work. The Erie right hander has allowed three runs or fewer in all but one start this season. Larez took a no-decision in his last start at Bowie, snapping a five-game winning streak. In the game, he allowed a run on six hits with two walks and a strikeout in 5.1 innings of work. Erie won the game 2-1...RHP Brett Myers takes the mound for Akron making a rehab start. Myers appeared in four games with the Indians this season posting an 0-3 record and 8.02 ERA. His last appearance came on April 19 against Houston where he allowed three runs on five hits in five innings. The SeaWolves faced Myers on a rehab appearance in Reading on August 26, 2009 at First Energy Stadium. That day, he tossed two hitless frames with a walk and five strikeouts. Current Tigers bullpen catcher Jeff Kunkel was the only Erie hitter to reach base safely on Myers.
