Akron RubberDucks News Release

The Akron Aeros game Friday night at Reading, Pennsylvania, against the Reading Fightin' Phils was suspended after seven innings with the score tied, 3-3.

Heavy rain and lightning forced the action to be halted once the bottom of the seventh was completed. During the home seventh inning, Reading tied the game at 3-3, on an RBI triple by first baseman Jim Murphy.

The Aeros (17-17) took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, and added a run in the third on a solo homer by Chun Chen, his sixth of the year.

The game will be resumed Saturday afternoon at 5:35 p.m. After the completion of the suspended game, the teams will play the regularly-scheduled, nine-inning game. All of the action will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1350 AM, and online at www.sportsradio1350.com.
