
Sensational Ladies Weekend Kicks-Off at Knights Stadium on Friday

(Fort Mill, SC) - The Charlotte Knights return home to Knights Stadium on Friday, May 10 to kick-off a sensational eight-game homestand. The homestand gets underway with a special ladies weekend at Knights Stadium, which includes a Girl Scout Sleepover on Friday night, the 8th Annual Pink Knights on Saturday, May 10, and a special Mother's Day celebration on Sunday, May 12.
In a rematch of last year's Governor Cup Championship, the Knights will host the Pawtucket Red Sox on Friday with first pitch of game one of the four game series set for 7:15 p.m. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and the first 1,000 fans will receive a Retro Knights hat as part of the team's "Flashback Fridays" series. Knights players will wear their throwback "1990 jerseys" once again.
After the game on Friday, all Girl Scouts in attendance will be able to camp out on the field at Knights Stadium, courtesy of Tom Johnson Camping Center. Girl Scouts will be able to enjoy a movie on the in-stadium video board and camp out under the stars.
On Saturday, May 11, the Knights will host the PawSox in game two of their four-game series at 7:15 p.m. Gates are set to open at 5:30 p.m. and the first 1,000 ladies will receive a collectible baseball, presented by Charlotte Radiology.
Breast Cancer Awareness and the color "pink" will be the focus of Saturday's game as the Knights will host their 8th Annual Pink Knights, courtesy of Charlotte Radiology and Belk. Knights players will wear pink hats and jerseys. During the game, fans will have a chance to bid on the game-worn items through an auction located on the Knights Stadium concourse. Knights players will even swing pink bats! After the game, the winning bidders will receive their game-worn, autographed jerseys right from the players on the field. A portion of the proceeds from Saturday's auction and merchandise sales will benefit Carolinas Breast Friends.
The Charlotte Knights Dance Team, the KnightinGals will also perform on Saturday. Before the night is over, fans can enjoy a thrilling post-game fireworks show, thanks to BB&T Ballpark and News Talk 1110 WBT.
On Sunday, all moms will be treated to a great Mother's Day game at Knights Stadium. Gates will open at 1:00 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. All moms in attendance will have a chance to win a Washer & Dryer, courtesy of All and Snuggle. Signups will be located on the concourse of Knights Stadium.
Sundays are Family Day at Knights Stadium, presented by BB&T, and all families will want to celebrate mom this Sunday. Currently, fans can share their stories about their mom on the Knights official Facebook page and enter to win a special Mother's Day prize pack. After Sunday's game, all kids can "Run the Bases" thanks to Moe's Southwest Grill.
On Monday, May 13, the Knights and PawSox will conclude their series with a 7:15 p.m. game. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and fans will want to take advantage of delicious $1 Hot Dogs, courtesy of Hebrew National. Former Knights fan-favorite Terry Doyle is expected to make the start for Pawtucket.
