Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The Pigs (14-18) play the finale of a four-game series against the third-place Louisville Bats (16-17)... With a 6-3 loss last night, the Pigs have dumped back-to-back contests following their season-high four-game winning streak and have fallen to 4-3 on this eight-game West Division homestand... The Bats -- Cincinnati's top affiliate -- have won a pair of games in succession to improve to 4-3 on this eight-game North Division road trip. They've now gone 6-3 since a season-high five-game losing streak (and a season-worst 10-14 record).
LHP Tom Cochran (0-0, 3.60) will start for LHV against RHP Pedro Villarreal (0-2, 4.68).
Today is Education Day #2, presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network. First-pitch will be at 10:35 a.m.
Following the game, the Pigs head South to start an eight-game road trip through Durham (22-11) and Norfolk (20-13) starting Friday.
