Victoria Royals News Release
Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals will host the Kamloops Blazers in Games 3 and 4 of their first round WHL Western Conference Quarterfinal series on Tuesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 28, respectively.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m at Bear Mountain Arena on both Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Fans in attendance on Tuesday and Thursday evening will receive Royal Blue rally towels on entrance! During each game, fans will be able to purchase tickets for the End of the Roll 50/50 draw. The End of the Roll 50/50 draw will benefit Victoria High School on Tuesday evening while Thursday's draw will support Victoria Devils Fastball. The Victoria Royals have also partnered with BC Transit to get fans to and from Bear Mountain Arena. Fans can use their game tickets in lieu of bus fare on game days this week between 5:30 p.m. and end of service that night!
After two hard-fought games on the road, the Royals will look to use home ice to overcome a 2-0 series deficit this week. Steven Hodges emerged as the early goal scoring leader for Victoria after he notched a pair of goals in Game 1. Austin Carroll (1g-1a), Jamie Crooks (1g-1a) and Brett Cote (0g-2a) each recorded two points in the opening two contests of the series. With Crooks' post-season goal in Game 2, the Vermillion, AB native set a new franchise record for career playoff goals scored.
Here Comes the Blue! The Victoria Royals take on the Kamloops Blazers in Round 1 of the 2013 WHL Playoffs. Tickets for Games 3 and 4, held at Bear Mountain Arena, are still available.
