
Sounders FC Encourage Fans to Plan Ahead for Saturday's Match

RENTON, Wash. - The Sounders FC invite fans to plan ahead to avoid traffic congestion and delays due to the closure of SR 520 this weekend. The closure begins on Friday, March 15 at 11 p.m. through Monday, March 18 at 5 a.m. First kick for the Sounders FC versus Portland Timbers is 5 p.m. at CenturyLink Field. General gates open at 3:30 p.m.
Other weekend road closures include Yesler Way between Boren and 12th Avenue and a reduction to two lanes on n orthbound SR 99 starting at South Idaho Street. Also of note, the annual St. Patrick's Day parade departs from 4th Avenue and Jefferson at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Fans are invited to participate in the following match day activities.
March to the Match
Join Sound Wave, the Sounders FC Alliance and fans as they "March to the Match." The March will depart Occidental Park located in the heart of Pioneer Square at the intersection of Main Street and Occidental Avenue South at 4 p.m. and finish just outside the Northwest Gate, where fans can enter the stadium.
Soccer Celebration
Soccer Celebration is the name for all pre-match fan related activities. These activities are located outside the northwest gate, within the North Plaza and continue throughout the CenturyLink Field Plaza. Activities include inflatable games, face painting, hair painting, music and more. Soccer Celebration activities conclude at kickoff.
