HERSHEY, P.A. - The Binghamton Senators wrapped up a stretch of four straight road games with a trip to the Giant Center tonight where they fell 4-3 to the Hershey Bears.

Bears captain Boyd Kane opened the scoring, netting his 10th of the season on a power play at 6:22 of the first with help from Peter LeBlanc and Barry Alameida. The B-Sens answered though as Jean-Gabriel Pageau netted a shorthanded tally off a feed from Corey Cowick to knot the game at one at 11:25. The goal extended Binghamton's league lead in shorthanded tallies to a total of 12 overall. Cameron Schilling would reclaim the lead for the Bears as scored at the 13:51 mark of the opening period to put the Bears back on top, 2-1. Jeff Taffe and Jon DiSalvatore would assist.

Just 2:29 into the second period Derek Grant scored his team leading 14th goal of the season to tie the game up once more. David Dziurzynski and Shane Prince assisted. Nearly two minutes after that Taffe would score his 10th goal of season, courtesy of Julien Brouillette and Ryan Stoa, to put the Bears back on top, 3-2. DiSalvatore doubled that lead at 14:19. Taffe earned his third point of the night drawing the secondary assist on the goal. Patrick McNeill also assisted. With just under two minutes to go in the middle frame B-Sens blueliner Brett Lebda scored his second goal in as many games to bring Binghamton within one.

Despite trailing by a single goal, the B-Sens were only able to put four shots on goal in the third period and ultimately fell to their East Division rivals.

Robin Lehner started in goal for the B-Sens and stopped 25 of the 29 shots he faced. Philipp Grubauer started in goal for the Bears and turned aside 23 of the 26 shots he faced.
