RUNDOWN/LOWDOWN: It was another banner week for the resurgent Evansville IceMen as the hometown team accrued 5 of a possible 6-points through a 3(2-0-1) record, remaining undefeated in their first 5-games of December. Under the direction of third-year General Manager/Head Coach Rich Kromm, the IceMen have improved their overall record to 26(10-14-2) totaling 22-points. In the process, the men of the igloo have climbed into a share of fourth place in the ECHL Eastern Conference North Division standings with rival Kalamazoo 22(10-10-2)22. The IceMen will commence the new week having moved into striking distance of third place Fort Wayne and second place Toledo. HOME HOLIDAY PROMOS: On the weekend before Christmas, the IceMen will return home following a two-week' absence to host a pair of encounters at the Ford Center. On Friday night, December 21st, the IceMen will play host to Eastern Conference Atlantic Division rival Trenton on "Santa Night" and "Santa Hat Night." The next night, Saturday, December 22nd, the Kalamazoo Wings come calling on another "Santa Night" and with 500 Christmas ornaments given away on that special night.

WRAP THE RECAP: Playing 3-games in 4-nights the past week in the midst of 9-consecutive games within their own North Division, the IceMen continued to excel, posting an unsullied 3(2-0-1) record, gathering 5 of a possible 6-points in the ECHL standings. Opening the week Wednesday night in Cincinnati, the IceMen spirited away one more precious point in the standings through a 3-2 OTSO outcome in the "Queen City." Dylan Clarke (1-1-2) scored the game's FG and assisted on the late, dramatic GTG by Cody Beach with 1:34 remaining in regulation time with Evansville having lifted its netminder for the successful bid to achieve the equalizer. The Cyclones did outscore the IceMen in the OTSO, 3-1. Returning for the balance of the week, the IceMen, for a second successive weekend, swept a two-game homestand in as many nights. Friday night, they erupted for a club record 3-goal second period blitz in :45 to eradicate a 4-2 deficit in overtaking Toledo, 8-5. Debuting left wing Wade Macleod and Nathan Moon each engineered 3-goal "hat tricks" with Sebastian Wannstrom (1-1-2) and Jason Dale (1-1-2) also connecting. Dylan Clarke registered 4-assists. Saturday night, the IceMen subdued first place Cincinnati, 4-1 with 4-different sharpshooters being featured. Josh Beaulieu (1-2-3) GWG/+3 sparked the win with Moon (FG), Clarke (IG) and Dale (ENG) each delivering. Allen York was supreme in goal with 26-saves.

TRADED TRIO: On Friday of the past weekend, the IceMen completed a major three-player trade with the Orlando Solar Bears. In the deal, Evansville sent center Dale Mahovsky and right wing Dan Gendur to Orlando for former ECHL scoring champion and league MVP Kevin Baker. The 33-year old 9-year veteran right wing has scored nearly 220-pro career goals in his distinguished career as one of the ECHL's all-time great goal-scoring cannoneers. The 6-1, 202lb right wing is expected to arrive in Evansville the first of the new week and make his IceMen debut Friday night on the road at Kalamazoo.

BEDAZZLING DECEMBER: The IceMen have launched the month of December with their longest unbeaten skein of the season at 5-in a row; last 5(4-0-1), accumulating 9 of a possible 10-points in that span. The "Kromminator" kinetic contin-gent is presently on a 2-game win streak with their longest win streak of the season being 3-in succession. Since opening the season with a rather heinous 7-game winless skid; 7(0-6-1), the IceMen have been showing vast improvement, posting a record of 19(10-8-1) in the ensuing 19-games; they are 14(8-5-1) in the last 14-decisions. Their last defeat was back on November 30th when they were humbled in Cincinnati, 6-1 in a sobering scenario.

HOME STOCK STREAKING: With back-to-back victories on a second consecutive 2-games in 2-nights weekend at the Ford Center, Evansville's finest on ice has advanced and otherwise enhanced his win streak at home to a season-best 4- in a row; last 4(4-0-0), having outscored the visitors 18-10 during that propitious expanse. Their last home setback was back on November 18th when the home team was upended by Reading, 7-2. For the season, the IceMen home record stands at 14(6-8-0). After beginning the season with a 5-game losing streak at home, the IceMen have reversed their home ice fortunes in impressive fashion, posting a 9(6-3-0) at the Ford Center.

ALIEN TERRITORY STORY: With their 3-2 OTSO outcome Wednesday night at Cincinnati, in their lone foreign ice action for the week, the IceMen road record for the season now stands at 12(4-6-2). They are 3(0-2-1) in their last trio of alien getaways and 6(1-4-1) in their last half-dozen dates away from the home bay. Evansville's last victory abroad was back on November 24th in Reading where they derailed the Royals express, 4-2.

DIVISIONALLY DIAGNOSED: For the first time this season, the IceMen have ascended above the .500 plateau against their own North Division delegation. For the season, their North Division mark has been elevated to 15(7-6-2). The IceMen mark against the Atlantic Division stands at 6(2-4-0); the South Division composite; 5(1-4-0). In this present tense stretch of 9-straight games opposing North Division rivals, thus far, the Icers have posted a mark of 7(4-2-1) with both setbacks inflicted by division-leading Cincinnati.

SATURDAY NIGHT MIGHT: With their 4-1 victory verdict over first place Cincinnati on home ice Saturday night, the IceMen, remarkably, advanced their win streak on Saturday night to an amazing 6-games in a row. During this span, the IceMen, defensively, have been impeccable, allotting only 7-GA for a GAA of a microscopic 1.14. The last time the Coach Kromm crew digested defeat on Saturday night was back on October 27th when they fell in Kalamazoo, 4-1.

THE ELITE OF THE ECHL: Despite being marked absent for 8-games due to injury, Todd Robinson still ranks #3 in the league with 12-PPA. Matt Gens is 13th in ECHL scoring among defensemen with 26(3-10-13) Gens 61-SOG are 4th most among league rearguards while his 22-minor penalties top the entire ECHL.

THE "CLARKE MARK": Recently acquired center Dylan Clarke has been a brilliant discovery for the IceMen Icers. The second year All-American from SUNY-Plattsburgh was especially proficient the past week, collecting 7-points in 3-games on 2-goals, 5-assists, 7-points including a masterful 4-assists enormous performance Friday night in his team's 8-5 toppling of Toledo. The former CHL Tulsa Oilers forward assisted on all 3-goals in the IceMen club record 3-goal second period flurry in a club record 0:45 which expunged a 4-2 shortfall and catapulted the IceMen into the lead, 5-4. Clarke authored (1-1-2) FG in Wednesday night's 3-2 OTSO affair at Cincinnati before delivering the key, touch-in-the -clutch early third period IG in his team's 4-1 win in the rematch against the Cyclones. For the week, he was 3(2-5-7) with a brilliant +6 rating. The Belleville, Ontario native is currently on a 5-game scoring scourge with his team; last 5(3-8-11). Clarke is the IceMen nomination for ECHL Player of the Week.

ALLEN ALLOTING NOT: Goaltender Allen York, assigned by parent club Columbus has been acting the role of human puck blockade barricade. In goal for all 3-IceMen games the past week, the former RPI star posted a 3(2-0-1) mark with a thrifty and nifty 1.80 GAA and .943 SPCT as he brushed aside 82 of 87-SOG. He has been in goal for the last three IceMen victories. York is the IceMen nomination for ECHL Goaltender of the Week.

WADE MADE: Second-year left wing Wade Macleod enjoyed a star-studded coming out party for the IceMen the past weekend. In his debut, the three time Northeastern U., scoring titlist crafted a scintillating 3-goal "hat trick" including the GWG in his club's 8-5 decision over Toledo. Earning the game's #1 Star, Macleod proceeded to add an assist on Dylan Clarke's key touch-in-the clutch IG Saturday night in the 4-1 verdict over Cincinnati. For the two games, Macleod was 2(3-1-4) with a strong +3 rating.

MOON OVER THE TRI-STATE: Second-year right wing Nathan Moon continues to distinguish himself as an ace goal-scoring oasis of redoubtable repute. Much as his teammate, Wade Macleod, Moon, himself fashioned the 3-goal "hat trick" in Friday night's triumph over visiting Toledo. In fact, the latter's third connection of the night came just 1:21 after Macleod had completed his goal-scoring deed. The former OHL Kingston star added a fourth goal for the weekend homestand, the important FG in the 4-1 victory over Cincinnati. Moon, for the last 2-games, is 2(4-0-4). His 9-goals for the season are second most on the Evansville club.

THE "BO" SHOW SHINES: Six year left wing Josh Beaulieu remains a constant in the IceMen lineup. The former NHL Philadelphia Flyers draft pick was the game's #1 Star in Saturday night's 4-1 success claimed from Cincinnati. The hard-nosed left wing engineered the GWG while adding 2-assists for 3-points and a team-season-tying best +3 rating. He is the IceMen top goal-scoring artisan and point-meister overall thus far this season with 26(11-10-21). Beaulieu's 5-PPG, 3-GWG and two 2-goal games also lead the club in all three departments.

DAN/DEREK DAZZLE: The dynamic defense combination of Daniel Tetrault and Derek Foam is solidifying the IceMen nation. In the sweep of the 2-game homestand the past weekend, they mirrored each other's effort and performance. Both defensemen were a healthy +3 in Friday night's 8-5 triumph over Toledo. They both were +2 Saturday night in the 4-1 dispatching of Cincinnati. For Tetrault, it was the second time he attained the +3 rating in a single game, matching his and Evansville's best such effort of the campaign. For the weekend, the tandem of Tetrault and Foam were both +5 in 2-games.

SPECIAL TEAMS TOME: The IceMen penalty-killing expertise remains intact at this hour of the season. Evansville has foreclosed 19 of the last 20-advantages for an efficiency rating of a gaudy 95%. Moreover, they are 34 for the last 38; 89.5% and 97 for the last 110; 89.8% rating. On the power play, the IceMen are 1- for the last 16; 6.3%; 3 for the last 21; 14.3% proficiency rating.

MILESTONES MINTING: Nathan Moon (95) is 5-games away from pro career 100. In Friday night's 8-5 triumph over Toledo, Daniel Tetrault played pro career game #750. Todd Robinson (1,244) is 6-points away from pro career 1,250. When he steps into the IceMen lineup, newly-acquired right wing Kevin Baker (484) will be 16-games away from pro career 500.

FEW FUN FAST FACTS FROM "FIC": The IceMen 8-goal output Friday night against Toledo represented their best single game goal production of the season. The previous premiere was 5-GF. In that same game, the IceMen 3-goal second period blitz in 0:45 set a new club record in that category. Bereft of "hat-trick" making for the past 2-seasons, the IceMen broke through with 2 Friday against Toledo with Wade Macleod and Nathan Moon completing their trifectas 1:21 apart in the third period. After beginning the season without the benefit of the game's FG in their first 10-games, the IceMen have now scored the game's FG in 12 of the last 16-outings including 5-in a row. They are 12(8-3-1) when scoring the game's FG. They are 11(9-1-1) when entering the third period enjoying the game's lead. In his last 7-games, Todd Robinson is 7(0-9-9). When the IceMen score 4 or more goals, their record is 7(7-0-0); when they allow 2-GA or less also 7(7-0-0). Due to their inordinate number of injuries, the IceMen have already employed 39-players thus far this season.
