Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, three-time defending North Division Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks, and American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves announce the Canucks have reassigned forward Stefan Schneider to the K-Wings, while Darren Archibald has been reassigned to the Wolves.
A third-year pro, Schneider joins the K-Wings after starting the season in the AHL with the Chicago Wolves. Schneider's first two seasons have been spent exclusively in the AHL. Starting his pro career in 2010-11 with the Manitoba Moose, Schneider split time at defense and forward skating in 47 games for the Moose.

Before turning pro, Schneider spent four seasons in Junior hockey, including the 2009-10 season where he played in all 72 games for the Portland Winterhawks helping the WHL club in one of the biggest turnarounds in major juniors. Schneider and the 'Hawks won 44 games in the 2009-10 season after only earning 19 victories the year before. A defensive, two-way forward, Schneider earned 23 points (12 goals, 11 assists) with a plus/minus of +7 and 42 minutes in penalties.
Archibald, who started the season in the training camp of Wolves, has earned 13 points (6 goals, 7 assists) in 18 games with Kalamazoo.
By heading to Chicago, Archibald becomes the third member of the K-Wings to be either reassigned or loaned to an AHL club.
