Beskorowany, Mouillierat Key 4-2 Victory

Boise, ID (11/14/12) - Tyler Beskorowany turned aside 28 of 30 shots, including 12 big shots in the final period, and Kael Mouillierat continued his torrid play Wednesday night with two goals as the Idaho Steelheads defeated the Stockton Thunder, 4-2, at Boise's CenturyLink Arena.

With the win, Idaho (9-2-2) now has an 11-game point streak, having not lost a game in regulation since October 13 at Utah. Stockton drops to 8-3-1 with the loss in front of 2,746 fans.

Idaho drew first blood when a Mouillierat centering pass hit Stockton's Tony DeHart and redirected across the goal line at the 7:33 mark of the opening period. Mouillierat was given credit for his ninth goal of the season, assisted by Justin Dowling and Andrew Carroll. The Steelheads would build on the lead just 19 seconds into the second period when Adrian Foster reached into the crease to sweep a loose puck between Stockton goaltender Tyler Bunz's feet into the net, his fifth goal of the season, to give Idaho a 2-0 lead.

Stockton struck back quickly, though, thanks to an errant Steelheads pass. While in the offensive zone, an Idaho pass back to the blue line split the two defenseman, jump-starting a Stockton break-away opportunity for Ryan Constant. Constant was able to beat Beskorowany at 1:04 on the second period to make it a 2-1 game. Toni Rajala would tie the game for Stockton at 9:15 of the second when he roofed a rebound over an outstretched Beskorowany.

The game would stay 2-2 until the 4:31 mark of the third period. A hustling forecheck from Jacob Cepis created a turnover behind the Stockton net. Cepis would feed the loose puck into the right-hand circle to Mouillierat, who squeezed a quick forehand snap between Bunz and the near post to give Idaho a 3-2 lead. Mouillierat's tenth of the year would prove to be the game-winner, but not without some tense moments. Stockton pressured Idaho's net much of the third period, but Beskorowany came up with big save after big save to keep Idaho on top by a goal. Then, at 18:53 and the Stockton net empty in favor of an extra attacker, Idaho's Matt Case bounced a puck through the neutral zone to a streaking Neil Graham, who scored into the empty net to seal the win for Idaho.

Idaho's 11-game unbeaten streak ties the longest such stretch for the Steelheads since January/February of 2010 when the team went 8-0-3 over an eleven-game stretch.

Beskorowany stopped 28 of 30 to improve his personal record to 4-2-1 on the season. Bunz stopped 17 of 20 in the loss. Idaho's power play was 0-3, but the Steelhead penalty-kill unit was a perfect 3-for-3.

The Steelheads play two games on the road this weekend, playing at San Francisco on Friday night and at Stockton on Sunday evening. Both games can be heard on KTIK (1350 AM) in the Treasure Valley.
