Babcock to Attend Saturday Night's Home Game

Current Detroit Red Wing and former Spokane Chief head coach Mike Babcock will be in attendance on Saturday, October 6th when the Chiefs host the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the Spokane Arena. Game time is scheduled for 7:05.

Babcock will be involved in the pre-game ceremonies and drop the ceremonial first puck. The Chiefs and Babcock will hold a media scrum during the first intermission in the hallway outside Spokane's locker room for all interested media.

Babcock is the Chiefs' all-time leader in coaching victories with 224 over a six year span (1994-2000). In his professional coaching career, he has coached in the Stanley Cup Finals three times, including when the Red Wings won it in 2008. He also helped guide Canada to the 2010 Olympic Gold Medal.
