Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will begin pre-selling tickets to the first potential home playoff game of the 2012 Midwest League Postseason on Monday, August 27 at 9 AM. The Captains are currently tied with Fort Wayne for the division lead in the second half, three games ahead of South Bend and West Michigan. The top two reams in the division will qualify. Bowling Green and Lansing qualified for the playoffs in the first half so their records have no bearing on the outcome of the second half race. If the club qualifies, this would be the fourth playoff appearance in the franchise's ten-year history, and second as a member of the Midwest League. The Captains won the 2010 Midwest League Championship.
Tickets for the first potential playoff game, which would be played on Wednesday, September 5 at 7 PM, may be purchased on-line at CaptainsBaseball.com, at the Classic Park Box Office or by phone at 440-954-WINS (9467)
Tickets for every potential home game are only $9 in advance and all tickets will be $10 on the day of the game.
Fans may get tickets to all potential home games for only $42 in advance by purchasing the CAPTAINS PLAYOFF PACK. All playoff tickets are non-refundable and tickets for any un-played home games may be redeemed for a 2013 Captains regular season home game.
Should the Captains qualify for the post-season, it will potentially host a total of six home playoff games at Classic Park depending upon what the Captains overall record is at the end of the regular season. The dates for potential home playoff games are as follows:
Eastern Division Quarterfinals
Wednesday, September 5 @ 7:00 PM Divisional Quarterfinals Game #1
