The Midwest League announced Snappers' infielder, Miguel Sano as Player of the Week
Beloit, WI- On Monday, the Midwest League named Miguel Sano player of the week lasting from August 13-August 19. His statistics for the week were as follows: 375/.444/.833, 6 G, 9-for-24, 2 2B, 3 HR, 4 RBI, 8 R, 2 BB, 8 K
Sano is the Minnesota Twins' top prospect, currently batting .264 with the Beloit Snappers. He leads the league in home runs (26), RBI (96), and total bases (222).
A native of San Pedro De Macoris, Dominican Republic, Sano is currently starring in a baseball documentary, Pelotero, which is available on iTunes and in select theaters.
Sano was also the starting third baseman for the Midwest League All-Star game this year at Kane County.
