Salt Lake City, Utah - The Salt Lake Bees (60-68) got out to a hot start and never looked back as they notched a 10-3 win over the Oklahoma City RedHawks (63-54) before 5,551 at Spring Mobile Ballpark Tuesday night.

The win marked a season-best sixth straight for the Bees, while the RedHawks suffered their fifth consecutive loss as well as their ninth defeat in their last 10 games.

The Bees wasted no time shooting out to an early lead with three runs in the first. Kole Calhoun and Efren Navarro each collected RBIs, and a wild pitch brought home another.

Calhoun added a sac fly in the second, and in the third, Hank Conger and Ed Lucas each drove in runs to make it 6-0.

The RBI single by Lucas with two outs in the third signaled the end of the night for RedHawks pitcher Jose Cisnero. After turning in two great starts since joining RedHawks, Ciserno (2-1) tied a season high by allowing six runs. It was also his second-shortest start of the season and the first time he allowed more than three runs in a start since May 20. Cisnero allowed seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

Meanwhile, the RedHawks had trouble getting on the board against Salt Lake pitcher Brad Mills. They loaded the bases with one out in the fourth, but Chris Wallace hit into an inning-ending double play on the first pitch.

Down 7-0, the RedHawks got on the board on the sixth with a sac fly by Marc Krauss. Matt Dominguez lined an RBI double to right field in the eighth to make it 7-2.

Mills (5-7) left the game a batter later after going a season-high 7.1 innings. The lefty allowed two runs and nine hits with four walks and three strikeouts.

Salt Lake put the game out of reach when Luis Jimenez connected on a three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth. The RedHawks scored the game's final run in the ninth on a sac fly by Mike Hessman.

The RedHawks finished 11 hits--just one less hit than the Bess. However, nine of those hits were singles and the RedHawks went 2-for-13 with runners in scoring position.

The RedHawks will look to avoid a sweep when they finish their series in Salt Lake Wednesday night at 8:05 p.m. central time. Live coverage begins at 7:35 p.m. on AM 1340 The Game, 1340thegame.com, or through the free IHeartRadio mobile app.
