The Cutters and Tigers went to 15 innings in a four-and-a-half hour marathon Saturday night, but fell 6-5 to Connecticut.

With a runner at second and two outs, Jordan Dean tripled to deep right field off of Andre Kinder to score Patrick Smith for the game-winning run.

The game also saw Williamsport's first home run in 13 games, as Gustavo Gonzalez hit a three-run home run to left-center field in the sixth inning.

Connecticut scored the first run of the game in the first inning off of starter Jon Musser, but Williamsport answered in the third when Chris Serritella drove in Cameron Perkins.

Back-to-back home runs by Patrick Smith and Devon Travis gave the Tigers a two-run lead in the fourth, but Kyle Hoppy drove in Yan Carlos Olmo to cut the deficit to 3-2.

Gonzalez's home run put the Cutters ahead 5-3 in the sixth, but Geoff Broussard couldn't hold it, allowing two runs in the eighth inning.

Dean's game-winner drops the Cutters to 15-31 on the season.

Williamsport tries to bounce back with a 5:05 day game tomorrow against the Tigers. Every Cutters game can be heard on ESPN Radio 104.1 FM, ESPN 1050 AM, or online at crosscutters.com.
