Otters Select Kuleshov with Second Import Pick

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League selected Russian defenseman Artem Kuleshov from Krylya Sovetov with the 63rd overall selection in the 2012 CHL Import Draft Wednesday afternoon.

Born April 20, 1995, the 6-foot-3, 195-pound Kuleshov was also a first round pick in the Kontinental Hockey League. Kuleshov went 27th overall to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod.

The left-handed shooting Kuleshov has played in North America for Russian touring squads and is eligible for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

The Otters used their first import selection on Swedish goaltender Oscar Dansk, who went third overall. Dansk was the second round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and has represented Sweden in numerous international tournaments, including the IIHF Under-18 World Championships, were he helped Sweden earn a silver medal.
