----- Tonight, the SeaWolves begin a six-game road trip, taking on the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) in the opener of a three-game series at Metro Bank Park. The SeaWolves and Senators both had an off-day on Monday and are coming off of back-to-back losses. The Senators are currently 3.5 games ahead of the SeaWolves in the Western Division standings...Today, lefty Jared Wesson takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 12th start and first against Harrisburg. Wesson took a loss in his last start against Trenton on June 7. In the game, he allowed five runs, four earned, on five hits with four walks and two strikeouts in six innings of work. Erie lost the game 5-1 ...Left-hander Mike Ballard takes the mound for the Senators making his 12th start. He has taken no-decisions in his last two starts. Last time out for Ballard against Binghamton on June 6, he allowed three runs on 10 hits with three walks and six strikeouts in six innings of work. He is 0-3 with a 2.37 ERA in eight starts at Metro Bank Park...The SeaWolves offense has struggled over the last five games, hitting just .248 with 14 runs scored. Erie was shut out three times over the recent six-game homestand and the club has not scored a run in 19 consecutive innings...This marks the first of two trips for Erie into Harrisburg.
