WALDORF, Md. - On Tuesday, June 5th the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and Regency Furniture Stadium will offer its first ever Tri-County Job Fair and create opportunities for job seekers to network with other local business professionals.

Through partnerships with The Job Match Re-Employment Project of Southern Maryland, the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, Congressman Steny Hoyer, Tri-County Council of Southern Maryland, Southern Maryland Workforce Investment Board, and Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties, the all day event will begin at 9am featuring over 35 area employers and vendors and is free to attend. Once at the event, attendees can not only present their resumes to each employer, but will also be able to participate in three different breakout sessions for business and staff development, and on-site interviews.

In addition to the Job Fair and Seminars, there will be a Business 2 Business Lunch in the Legends Club overlooking the field. The lunch will be hosted by Congressman Steny Hoyer and feature keynote speaker Marie C. Johns, SBA Deputy Administrator. "The 9 Innings of Networking/Southern Maryland Job Fair is a valuable resource to Maryland businesses and those looking for work. Not only does it connect local businesses with potential hires, but it also provides important networking opportunities and professional development workshops critical to career advancement," said Congressman Hoyer. "I'm pleased that we will be able to bring together a wide range of individuals, including local, state, and federal government representatives, local businesses, and community leaders, so that we can work together to address our workforce challenges and put more Marylanders back to work."

The day will then transition into more networking combined with Blue Crabs baseball as 1,500 field box tickets have been made available complimentary to each attendee for that night's game against the Sugar Land Skeeters. That transition will start with attendees being able to continue their networking during an exclusive viewing of Blue Crabs pre-game batting practice at 4pm and then into the game starting at 7pm. "This is an event that we are very proud of hosting for the residents of Southern Maryland. It means a lot to our organization to be able to have an event that matches exceptional talent to the hiring needs of local business," said Blue Crabs Assistant General Manager Brian Radle. "And what better way to network with others than at a ball game -
