
Roughnecks Fall to Swarm

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks suffered a 15-11 setback to the Minnesota Swarm Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Shawn Evans notched one goal and set up four others for Calgary while Dane Dobbie, Peter McFetridge and Scott Ranger each scored two in the loss. Daryl Veltman, Cory Conway, Curtis Dickson and Geoff Snider also scored for the Roughnecks, as Minnesota outshot Calgary 59-43.
Both Mike Poulin and Frankie Scigliano stood between the pipes for Calgary. Poulin made 36 saves while Scigliano stopped 8-of-13 shots. Snider scooped up 16 loose balls and won 19-of-26 face-offs.
Next week Calgary faces provincial rivals the Edmonton Rush in a home-and-home series. On Friday, March 9, the Rush will host the Roughnecks at Rexall Place for the first time this season. The following night the Roughnecks are back on their home floor. Both games are 7:00 p.m. starts. Friday's game will be broadcast live on Sportsnet ONE, with Saturday's contest airing on Sportsnet West and Pacific.
