Bulldogs Recall Olivier Malka from Wheeling Nailers

HAMILTON, ON - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Pierre Gauthier announced today that defenceman Olivier Dame-Malka has been recalled to the Bulldogs from the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers.

Malka, 21, played in 8 games with the Bulldogs this season, posting one assist and 11 shots on goal. The 5-foot-10, 192-pound defenceman made his professional debut with the Bulldogs in the team's 5-2 season-opening victory over the Rochester Americans on Saturday, October 8th, 2011. In 35 games for the Wheeling Nailers this season, the native of Montreal, Quebec registered 18 points (7 goal, 11 assists), 110 shots on goal, and 58 penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs' next game will take place on Friday, February 17th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. when they host the St. John's IceCaps on Home Depot Night. The 'Dogs continue their 3-in-3 weekend on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 when they take on the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m. at Copps Coliseum before travelling to Rochester on Sunday, February 19th, 2012 to face the Americans at 5:05 p.m. at Blue Cross Arena.
