Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, Iowa - After suffering a difficult defeat in Cedar Rapids Friday night, the Fighting Saints will have an opportunity to earn a measure of revenge against the RoughRiders at the Mystique Community Ice Center at 7:05 tonight. This evening's game will be the final meeting of the regular season between the two teams in Dubuque this regular season - the Fighting Saints have taken two points in all three previous meetings in the Key City.
Although the Fighting Saints grabbed a 1-0 lead early in the first period last night, Cedar Rapids scored six unanswered goals to blow out the Fighting Saints in the second consecutive matchup between the two teams. *Andrew Poturalski* scored two goals and added an assist in his first USHL game in the RoughRider win. Fortunately for the Fighting Saints, the RoughRiders have struggled away from The Stable, boasting just a 6-11-3 record. For their part, the Fighting Saints are 13-3-2 at the Mystique Community Ice Center.
After wrapping up this two-game weekend set against the RoughRiders, the Fighting Saints will host the Muskegon Lumberjacks Friday night. The team will then travel to Waterloo on Saturday to play the Black Hawks.
Tonight, Our House will become Our Beach House as the Fighting Saints present Jimmy Buffett night. Parrotheads and Puckheads alike will feel at home as Jimmy Buffet's music fills the air throughout the game.
Pregame coverage for tonight's game starts at 6:40 on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com. Streaming video coverage is also available at FastHockey.com.
