
Dzakhov, Chyzyk Lead Force Past Storm, 3-1

WEST FARGO, N.D. - Despite 33 saves by G Adam Wilcox, the Tri-City Storm lost to the Fargo Force 3-1 and fell to seventh-place in the Western Conference standings.
Tri-City (15-25-0, 30 pts - 7th in Western Conference) scored the game's first goal at the 4:01 mark on LW Jared Linnell's fourth goal of the season and first goal with the Storm. C Brian Ward and D Dylan Maller assisted on the goal, which was score on a two-on-one rush into the Fargo zone.
Fargo (21-15-4, 46 pts - 3rd in Western Conference) would respond less than two-minutes later on C Bryn Chyzyk's 22nd goal of the season, while RW Stanislav Dzakhov would score with a little more than a minute left in the period on the power play.
Dzakhov would add his seventh goal of the season on an empty-net power-play goal with 21 seconds left in regulation to cap the scoring, as LW Colton Hargrove assisted on all three goals for Fargo.
Wilcox (13-12-0) made 33 saves on 35 shots, including 22 saves combined in the final two periods in the loss for the Storm. G Zane Gothberg (16-10-3) made 24 saves on 25 shots earning the win for the Force.
Tri-City went 0-for-2 on the power play, while going 2-for-4 on the penalty kill. The Storm have allowed five power-play goals in the last 11 times short-handed.
The Storm to play Fargo again on Saturday night, as The Breeze 94.5 FM will air the game with the Viaero Wireless Pre-Game Show starting at 6:45 p.m.
