LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings have placed forward Simon Gagne on the injured reserve list (upper body injury), Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Gagne suffered the injury during Monday night's Kings-Coyotes game, a 4-3 Kings win. Gagne, in his first season with the Kings, is fifth on the club in scoring (7-1017) and fourth in goals. He is also third on the team with two short-handed goals.

Center Andrei Loktionov will remain on the Kings 23-man roster.

The Monarchs travel to the DCU Center to take on the Worcester Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28.
