Stampede Acquire Bailey

BOISE, Idaho, December 16, 2011 - The Idaho Stampede announced today a trade with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, which brings David Bailey (5-8, 165, Loyola (IL)) to the Treasure Valley. Bailey has played 169 games (152 starts) in his career, with averages of 13.5 points, 5.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds while playing for Sioux Falls (2007-09, 2009-11) and Fort Wayne (2008-09).

Born March 3, 1981, Bailey has shot 42.5 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from the three-point line and 80.7 percent from the free throw line. He is expected to join the team by Monday.

"We are excited to have David join our team," Head Coach Randy Livingston said. "He is a winner and can help us move up the standings."

Bailey attended George Westinghouse College Prep in the Chicago Public School League, before heading to Loyola, where he led the Horizon League in assists in 2000-01, and ended up as the Horizon League scoring champ in 2001-02. Bailey was first-team All-Conference in 2000-01 and 2001-02, making the second team in 2002-03.

The Stampede traded Dontell Jefferson to Sioux Falls in exchange for Bailey.
