
Reno Bighorns Defeat Tulsa 66ers 105-88

TULSA, Okla., Dec. 16, 2011 - Brady Morningstar tallied a team-high 21 points and added five assists and three steals and four other 66ers scored in double figures, but the Tulsa 66ers (5-4) fell to the Reno Bighorns (3-4) by a 105-88 final Friday night inside the Tulsa Convention Center.
Also scoring in double figures for Tulsa was Billy Rush with 16, reserve LaDustin Williams with 14, Xavier Alexander with 13 and Nkem Ojougboh with 11.
Leading the 66ers in rebounding was Ojougboh and Alexander with eight and seven boards, respectively. Collectively, Tulsa forced 14 Reno turnovers and posted six steals.
Offensively, Tulsa recorded 17 assists on 35-of-76 (.461) shooting from the floor, led by Morningstar and Curtis Sumpter's five dishes each.
"Tonight was an opportunity for our guys to gain some valuable game experience," Tulsa 66ers head coach Dale Osbourne said. "We will watch film and get better from tonight. I was proud of our effort and I am confident we will bounce back."
Leading the way for Reno was Christopher Ayer with a game-high 28 points. Terrance Thomas pitched in a double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds and Cedric Bozeman added 12 points and 11 boards.
The Tulsa 66ers return to the floor Saturday evening, Dec. 17, when they host the Springfield Armor at 7 p.m. CT inside the Tulsa Convention Center. Making a special appearance at tomorrow night's game will be Rumble the Bison, the official mascot of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
